Sword sight help!!

I have a 3rd plane sight that is a couple years old and I am now having a major problem with it. The vertical gang adjustment no longer gets tight enough to hold the site in place reliably. I have been very happy with this sight and have never had any problems with it until now. I thought I had fixed the issue until this morning when I was hunting in colder temps. When I went to leave and was putting my bow away the the whole pin housing nearly fell off in my hand. I really can't afford a new sight and I have a hunt coming up that I may have to miss because of this
